1 billion tiny little reasons
food prices are rocketing in the UK, as news comes of a young girl who just died from starvation because of neglect by her parents, yes this is the UK, not a third world battle zone... apparently food prices are rocketing in the UK, and have gone up about 20% this year... and still the Supermarkets are raking in trillions in profits... I just heard that 1.3 million tiny little pots of yoghurt are thrown away each and every day in the UK... I'm not surprised, as soon as people see the slops that pass as yoghurt, so packed full of sugar and additives as to be on a level playing field with well eerr the pot that they come in, that, they chuck it in the bin in horror,... but, that's not the reason really is it ? They are just past their 'sell-by' date, even though we all know that Yoghurt is so packed full of rubbish that it will be here long after our demise.. it makes one wonder where it all goes, that's 7 million odd a week, 30 million a month, so on.... that's a lot of plastic & yoghurt to put in a land-fill, its really shocking... As prices rise perhaps people will stop buying this rubbish, or even stop going to the Supermarkets, ... all these figures are completely shocking and quite depressing, so much waste, supermarkets making so much money, and kids starving to death... whats has it all come to?..

Economics. The last happy hunting ground of the chauvenist. Partly we are used to cheap food. I'm old enough (what a crime) to remember when chicken was a once a month luxury, and vegetables were seasonal. Now we expect chicken nuggets by the bucket load (literally) and don't flinch at recommending 3 generous portions of smoked salmon a week for omega 3 oils. Smoked salmon is for rich folk isn't it? Nope. Also - I want mange tout all year round - not just when the peas in my garden grow baby peas once a year. Oh, I forgot. Can't live without those Pakistani mangoes (mmmmmm - you know the nice little yellow ones) - and pre packed rocket and baby leaf salad so I don't have to do any of that nasty chopping. With no manufacturing industry for almost 30 years now, and having only just (by a matter of weeks) paid off the loan we owed the US for saving our ass from the Nazis - there's no way on this earth we could ever have afforded to live like we do. We are NOT all posh rich people. Sorry. But we just ain't. Now we find food geting expensive, but about 15 years late - so we haven't done badly really. Sorry about all the starving folks and all that - we had a big hand to play in that too, but we're doing our best to forget about it, ok?

just read a review of myself on some soft ******' student rag website, little *****'s, they don't realise that I live just down the road from them and I have a sledgehammer in the back of my moped... slagged my new album because they said , and I ******' quote here 'why do something new, since someone would have done it already if it was a good idea?', yes thats right, thats why our country is in dire ******' straight's, because little *****'s like this think you should always do the same coz' thats what's always been done, so why try anything new ??? eeerrr... lets all ******' curl up and die,, all we have in Madooonna and Franz Ferdinald,, fuck me pass the razor...

I got sucked into Myspace for a while there. I have been road testing my stuff, and recording new. Seems to go down pretty well on there anyway. 12000 Myspacers have adopted me as their bestest friends. No income though. Knew there was something missing but couldn't quite put my finger on it.
I took off all my material from Vox because it was just there taking up space. I might put back some 30s samples or something but I really can't be arsed.
You shouldn't read any critics you know. What do they know - its all subjective anyway. Amy Whinehouse could record the sound of a post vindaloo bowel movement alighting from her and it would sell. Tits, ass, and a look like they could all be yours is what is valued. I'm sure we've talked about this before. I have none of those things so I'm going to grow old in obscurity.

PS whats the optimum number of tracks to put on an album. I don't know whether to wait until I've done three more and bang out two albums of shit that no-one will ever hear - or just release one big smelly one right now? Any advice most gratefully received.
thing is about an album is, is that is something you leave for posterity... in the great scheme of things you can make a statement in life that is going to stay there forever,,, and, actually if its good it will come through in the end, it will be discovered this time, or some time on the future, so I say , go for it, and put as many tracks as you can on it !! probably about 12 is good. Actually its funny coz' someone said that thing about subjectivity to me today, although I must stop taking advice from the girls in Superdrug!
